My name is Amanda and I am 29 years old. I have been in the student lending industry for 6 years. I absolutely love this industry and have such a passion for it!  I have been with Cology since we opened our doors in 2005 and work with the best group of people you will ever find.

I grew up in Franklin, TN and decided to move to California in 2003 (just 23 year old) just to kinda see what was out west and what it could offer me.  It offered me more than I thought - a complete change in my life that I was not expecting.  Funny story...my husband is also in the student lending industry and when he started with the company I used to work for, I was assigned to be his support manager.  Well- long story short we fell in love and we got married.  I decided to move to Arizona (where he was based out of) and have been here ever since.  I love Arizona!  The weather is fabulous! We have a beautiful little girl who is turning 1 soon! 

Although my work is a passion - I absolutely love being a wife and a mom.  My husband travels A LOT for work so I have a lot of mommy /daughter time with my little girl.

I have several hobbies - I love to scrapbook (sounds nerdy but it is so much fun!), reading and traveling.  I love to eat...one of the perks with my husband's job is I get to tag along when he travels.  We have eaten and stayed at some amazing places!  I really enjoy that!

My past life:  While in TN, I worked for a cosmetic studio doing makeup artistry.  I obtained my licenses and many of my clients were country music stars.  I also did makeup for a lot of model shoots, theatre and the Miss USA pageant, Miss Kentucky pageant and Miss Teen Kentucky pageant.  I was so excited when my client won the Miss USA pageant!  Those days were so much fun!  I still do makeup for friends/family for special events.

Things about me: I have a southern accent, my favorite author is VC Andrews (remember Flowers in the Attic?), I love R&B and 80's music (weird combo - I know!) and any girlie movie!.  American Idol is the best show out on TV and I love going to church - my relationship with God is so important to me.
